Messenger to Lady Macduff

Rushing in, a messenger tries to get Lady Macduff to run for her life, saying "If you will take a homely man's advice, / Be not found here; hence, with your little ones" (4.2.69). This man does not appear to be a professional messenger. No one has sent him. He's just a guy who somehow found out that Lady Macduff and her children were in danger. He is himself very frightened, and with good reason. Moments after he runs out, Macbeth's hired killers come for Lady Macduff and her children. [Scene Summary]
