First Sailor
"Sea-faring men, sir: they say they have letters for you" (4.6.2), is the gentleman's answer to Horatio's question, "What are they that would speak with me?" More one sailor comes in to Horatio, but only one speaks. First Sailor merely delivers Hamlet's letter to Horatio. The sailors are not interesting characters, and we might wonder why there has to be more than one. Scene Summary
