Well, go thy way; if Sir Toby would leave drinking, thou wert as witty a piece of Eve's flesh as any in Illyria. This is puzzling. "Go thy way" can mean either "keep on doing as you are doing," or "be off with you." And the Clown's next comment seems to mean "you're as witty as Sir Toby is sober (which is not at all)," or "Sir Toby drunk has a better wit than you do sober," or "if Sir Toby ever sobered up, he might appreciate your wit." In any case, the Clown's compliment of Maria' wit seems very back-handed, which is probably the only kind of compliment she deserves for her extremely stale joke about "points" and "gaskins."
